Beach or Pool? Have Both at Villa Samba, Punta Mita

experience

26 oct. 25

The first thing I noticed when I arrived at Villa Samba was how close everything felt to the ocean. You can hear the waves from almost every room, that constant, relaxing sound that instantly slows you down.

Most mornings started the same way: someone grabbed a surfboard and headed straight to the beach while the rest of us lingered over breakfast by the pool. The staff would bring out coffee, fresh fruit, and pastries, and the light on the water made even mornings feel special.

By late morning, everyone found their own pace. A few of us stayed in the pool for hours, others went for another surf or just laid out on the beach. The best part? You can move between the two in seconds, from the waves to the pool, from the pool to the shade, with zero effort.

In the afternoon, we played tennis on the private courts, then cooled off with fresh coconuts and a swim. The staff made everything feel easy, towels appeared, drinks refilled, and somehow the music always fit the mood.

As the sun started to drop, we’d gather outside for dinner. The chef would set up a table by the pool, and the whole place would glow in that warm Punta Mita light. The ocean breeze, good food, and that feeling of not needing to be anywhere else, that’s what I’ll remember most.

At Villa Samba, the days blur together in the best way, surf, swim, eat, rest, repeat. Because here, you really don’t have to choose between beach days or poolside afternoons, you can have both, all day long.
